Qualifications

• Credential such as LPN, CCMA, CMA, RMA, ARMA or EMT is approved.
• If LPN, must have active multistate nursing license (NLC) in KY, IN or OH.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist the Mohs surgeon during procedures by positioning and draping patients, handling instruments, and providing retraction and visualization of the surgical site.
• Assist with surgical closures including layered closures, flaps, and grafts by preparing materials, sutures, and supplies and assisting during repair.
• Perform wound care including hemostasis assistance, dressing application, and pressure bandaging.
• Provide detailed post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers, including wound care, activity restrictions, medication.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Active driver's license for travel between office sites.

An approved credential, such as the LPN, CCMA, CMA, RMA, ARMA or EMT.

If LPN, must have active, unencumbered multistate (compact) nursing license issued by a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, specifically Kentucky, Indiana or Ohio.
