Interfood is seeking a Commodity Derivatives Trader to join our commercial team in Miami, USA. The role involves managing local derivatives trading by identifying and executing trades, supporting physical traders in positioning, and developing new OTC-style business with clients and suppliers in the dairy supply chain. The trader will also generate new trading ideas for our global proprietary trading book, utilizing data to create spread trading algorithms or manage an option book, with a solid understanding of derivatives risk.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the local dairy derivatives book, including options, swaps, and other financial products for hedging, speculation, and arbitrage strategies.
2. Contribute to the global spread trading P&L by initiating arbitrage trades and deploying financial strategies.
3. Engage daily with brokers and market stakeholders to execute futures, options, and forward trades.
4. Optimize stakeholder relationships, including brokers, involved in our derivatives business.
5. Support commercial traders and position holders in managing physical price risks.
6. Collaborate with physical traders to identify opportunities and provide value-added risk mitigation solutions.
7. Develop skills to conduct on-site meetings with prospects and clients, advising on risk management strategies.
8. Design OTC deal structures offering tailored hedging solutions on top of physical deal flow.
9. Create presentations and marketing materials to explain the value of risk management solutions.
10. Track and report progress on new client engagements (CTRM).

Candidate Profile:

• Strong conceptual and strategic thinking with excellent negotiation skills.
• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in derivatives, FX, trading, OTC, or financial markets.
• Proven experience in physical trading or financial markets industry.
• Experience with electronic trading platforms.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Analytical mindset, logical reasoning, and strategic thinking.
• Motivated for continuous skill development and data-driven decision-making.
