Recruitment Consultant in Aerospace & Defence

We've been retained to hire a bold and experienced Deputy Tax Director to oversee tax strategy, compliance, and reporting functions. This high-impact role requires a confident leader with a proven track record in managing complex tax issues and providing strategic guidance to senior executives.

Our client is an award winning, multi-billion USD turnover manufacturing organization who have an enviable reputation amongst their customer base for world class product quality. The Deputy Tax Director will have a key role, working alongside C-Suite to shape strategic decision making.

The salary range for the role is $220,000 - 300,000, with a 10% bonus.

Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Tax Director:

• Develop and implement global tax strategies, providing actionable insights to senior leadership and ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Manage federal, state, and international tax compliance, including Pillar Two, R&D tax credits, and ASC 740 reporting
• Optimize transfer pricing strategies and lead audits, mitigating tax risks and resolving inquiries
• Build and mentor a high-performing tax team, enhancing collaboration across finance, legal, and operations
• Establish and improve tax workflows, systems, and controls to ensure efficiency and adherence to regulatory changes

The ideal Deputy Tax Director will have the below qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• A minimum of 10 years in corporate tax, with demonstrated leadership experience
• Expertise in multi-state taxation; international tax experience is a significant advantage.
• Confident communicator, capable of articulating tax strategies and complex issues to senior leadership.
• CPA preferred
