The New York State Department of Financial Services seeks a Deputy Superintendent for Cybersecurity Law & Policy to lead the Division’s unit and drive policy initiatives aligned with Part 500.
Under the Executive Deputy Superintendent, you will manage attorneys, develop guidance, and coordinate with counsel while advancing education and enforcement efforts within DFS. Appointment is exempt and salary is commensurate with experience.

Under the direction of the agency’s Executive Deputy Superintendent for Cybersecurity, the Deputy Superintendent for Cybersecurity Law & Policy will provide expertise and leadership in support of the Department’s mission to protect consumers and industry by leading the Division’s Cybersecurity Law & Policy Unit of DFS’s Cybersecurity Division.
This is an appointment to a position in the exempt jurisdictional class. As such, the incumbent of this position would serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

Salary: $180,562 - $223,625 (salary commensurate with experience)
Positions located within the New York City metropolitan area, as well as Suffolk, Nassau, Rockland, and Westchester Counties, are also eligible to receive an additional $4,000 annual downstate adjustment.
This is an appointment to a position in the exempt jurisdictional class.
