Job summary

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical, drug screen and background required.
• T-Scores from other agencies may be used in lieu of written exam; a score of 42+ is qualifying when from San Joaquin County.
• PAT video demonstration is available for physical agility test.

Responsibilities

• Receive intensive academic instruction and rigorous physical training in a POST certified academy.
• Learn departmental policies and procedures with additional assignments during training.
• The program prepares you for a career as a law enforcement officer at the Sheriff’s Office.
