Qualifications

• Must have two years of experience as a Maryland Police Training Commission Certified Law Enforcement Officer.
• Must meet the following conditions: physical agility test, polygraph, background investigation, medical and mental health examinations, and computer operation, including word processing and data entry.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• All employment applications must be complete to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deter criminal activity in the school and community by being highly visible during the school day and after-school activities.
• Educate students on the role of law enforcement in society.
• Maintain contact and positive relationships with school groups such as PTAs and Booster Clubs.
• Assist school administrators in diagnosing law enforcement-related problems and provide referrals and interventions as needed.
• Conduct regular security inspections of school buildings and grounds.

• Deter criminal activity in school and the school's community by being highly visible throughout the school day and at after-school activities.
• To assist in educating students as to the role of law enforcement in our society.
• To maintain contact and positive relationships with school-based groups such as Parent Teacher Associations and Booster Clubs.
• To assist school administrators in diagnosing law enforcement-related problems in the school or on school grounds by providing referrals and interventions as needed.
• Conduct regular security inspections of school buildings and grounds.
