Job summary

Wicomico Partnership seeks a Deputy Sheriff Court Security officer to provide court security, maintain order in the courts, and oversee inmate holding facilities.

This ongoing recruitment requires MPTC-certified law enforcement experience, completion of polygraph and background checks, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED. Position is part-time with a pay rate up to $39.01 per hour based on experience. Drug testing and background checks are required.

Provide Court Security by maintaining order in the courts, operate inmate holding facilities, and provide for inmate security and prisoner transports.

Qualifications

Must have experience as a Maryland Police Training Commission Certified Law Enforcement Officer. Must meet the following conditions: polygraph, background investigation, medical and mental health examinations, computer operation, including word processing and data entry. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. All employment applications must be complete to be considered. All applicants must show proof of graduation from an accredited high school, or G.E.D., as approved/recognized by the Maryland Department of Education.
