Harford County Sheriff's Office is seeking a probationary deputy to patrol the county, respond to calls, and execute arrests while maintaining courtroom decorum. The role requires Maryland certification or eligibility and a valid driver's license.

The starting salary is $37.30 per hour ($79,123 annually) with a $10,000 recruitment incentive upon successful training completion. Overtime, shift differentials, and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Certified law enforcement officer or eligible for certification in Maryland.
• Ability to pass physical agility, background, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the county to maintain law and order and respond to calls for service.
• Execute on-view arrests and transport prisoners to facilities.
• Deliver civil process services and handle court-related duties.
