This position is responsible for performing uniformed patrol duties and enforcing all federal, state and local laws, serving court documents for civil and criminal proceedings, aiding the public daily and all other duties as assigned by the Sheriff. Applicants must be able to live and work in a rural community.
Must be at least 21 years of age and U.S. citizen
Be in good standing with KS CPOST if currently certified in Kansas
Certification preferred, however, not necessary with right candidate
No felony or disqualifying convictions
Pass a pre-employment background investigation and interview along with a psychological evaluation
Must be able to pass a drug test and pre-employment physical
Possess at least a high school diploma of GED
Possess a valid drivers license
