Baltimore County seeks retired sworn Police and Sheriff employees for a part-time position in the Sheriff's Office, involving investigative duties, public interaction, and security within court facilities. Applicants must hold MPCTC certification, possess relevant experience, and meet specific character criteria. This role is non-merit, not eligible for government benefits.

Regular Schedule: 20 hours per week, a Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Sheriff's Office.
Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.

Under close supervision, performs investigative, regulatory, and administrative duties supporting sheriff operations and related services.
Additional Duties: Maintains vehicles, participates in public relations, performs clerical duties, and other related tasks as required.

Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior sworn police or sheriff experience is required.
Must have current MPCTC certification or previous certification.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license (Class C Maryland or equivalent) required at appointment.
Applicants with degrees obtained outside the U.S. must submit degree equivalence documentation from World Education Services, Inc. (www.WES.org).
