Job summary

Cheshire County Sheriff's Office in New Hampshire seeks a deputy to perform law enforcement duties, provide truancy and school resource officer services, and cover transports and patrols as needed. Must be NH certified and work under general supervision of the Sergeant.

Position is full-time, based in Cheshire County with a typical eight-hour shift Monday through Friday and rotating on-call coverage. Benefits include EAP, FSA, health and life insurance, and PTO.

Job description

Under the general supervision of the Sergeant, responsible for law enforcement work in the protection of life and property, prevention of crime, apprehension of criminals, and the enforcement of laws and civil statutes in the State of New Hampshire, County of Cheshire. The deputy will work at an assigned school during the school year as a truancy officer/school resource officer; during non-school days, the deputy will be assigned as needed to normal Sheriff’s Office operations (transports, patrols, etc.). Must be NH certified.
