The City of Ann Arbor is seeking a Deputy Safety Manager to support and lead the administration, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the City’s safety programs, policies and initiatives. This role provides operational leadership for safety functions including compliance, training, inspections, incident review, risk assessment, and program improvement.

Salary: $82,000 - $98,500 (salary will be commensurate with experience)

To support the Safety Manager in the administration, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the City's safety programs, policies, and initiatives. Serves as the Deputy Safety Manager and provides operational leadership for assigned safety functions, including safety compliance, training, inspections, incident review, risk assessment, and safety program improvement. Acts on behalf of the Safety Manager during planned or unplanned absences to support continuity of safety operations and reduce risk to employees, City operations, property, and resources.
