Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in Arkansas and admitted to the Arkansas State Bar.
• Strong knowledge of criminal procedure and legal research.

Responsibilities

• Receive criminal complaints and decide on prosecution.
• Prepare complaint affidavits for misdemeanor filings.
• Maintain misdemeanor caseload including trial preparation.
• Maintain felony caseload including trials and appeals.
• Draft briefs, motions and other supporting legal documents.
• Represent the State in legal proceedings within the judicial district.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
