Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Deputy Project Manager in Washington, DC area to oversee the Business Process Improvement Program. You will coordinate Agile workstreams, manage schedules and risks, and support governance and leadership briefings.

Requires 7+ years IT and 5+ years PM experience, ability to obtain Public Trust, and US citizenship. The role involves collaboration with federal clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, with hybrid work from DC/VA offices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years IT experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience supporting business process improvement or modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management best practices.
  • Experience using Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
  • Must be US citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day management of the Business Process Improvement Program across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Coordinate Agile workstreams, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, risk management, and performance tracking.
  • Serve as the Project Manager's alternate to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource assignments.
  • Maintain project plans, RAID logs, staffing plans, and action trackers.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and sprint planning sessions.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities across workstreams.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, dependencies, and issues.
  • Develop executive status reports and briefing materials.
  • Track contract deliverables and support quality assurance reviews.
  • Coordinate communications among business and technical teams.
  • Support governance meetings and leadership briefings.
