Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Deputy Project Leader to support project teams in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on developing strategic plans, budgets, and comprehensive project plans for telecommunication systems integration and security projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in telecom integration or electrical contracting, a related bachelor’s degree, and experience with federal/education sector projects. Up to 25% travel is required. This is a direct placement on-site position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with a telecommunications integrator or electrical contractor, with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in complex markets on projects for Federal Aviation, Government Airports, Higher-Education, Information Transit Systems.
• Experience reviewing construction documents, including contract drawings, specifications, addenda, change orders, RFIs, subcontracts, and submittals.
• Experience installing Information Transport Systems.
• Familiarity with design practices, tools, and concepts to create detailed electrical and security system plans, schematics, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with supervisors, owners, contractors, and design teams to resolve construction issues and ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and track tool, equipment, and resource requirements.
• Facilitate and support day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Maintain awareness of project deadlines for decision-making, RFIs, and documentation of verbal discussions and agreements.
