Job summary

HunaTek seeks an experienced Deputy Program Manager to lead day-to-day DoD programs in Colorado Springs. This role supports a large, distributed technical organization and requires hands-on leadership to translate strategy into disciplined execution.

The DPM will manage staffing, risk, and performance, coordinate with subcontractors and senior stakeholders, and maintain mission-focused execution across functions. A DoD clearance is required or attainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (business, engineering, IT, cybersecurity).
• 8+ years of leadership experience supporting DoD or Federal technical services programs.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical operations and large teams.
• Experience with contract transitions, workforce transitions, or complex operational integrations.
• Proven ability to manage program performance, staffing, schedules, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as deputy to the Program Manager and act on their behalf as needed.
• Lead day-to-day integration and execution across program operations and teaming partners.
• Support transition, stabilization, and integration of a large multi-site environment.
• Coordinate managers and leads to meet staffing, schedule, quality, and performance goals.
• Drive workforce readiness including recruitment, onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer.
• Monitor program performance, risks, issues, and corrective actions.
