History Colorado seeks a Deputy Community Museum Officer/Director to lead the Division of Community Museums and the Center for Colorado Women’s History. You will advance strategic priorities, strengthen operations, steward resources, and cultivate relationships with diverse Colorado communities.

Reporting to the Chief Community Museum Officer, you will supervise staff, collaborate with museum directors, and drive fundraising, grants, and program development across seven sites to expand public

Qualifications

• Six years of full-time experience in museum administration or related leadership roles.
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years substitute for experience or Master's with 4 years substitute as described in the qualifications.
• Strong fundraising and grant-writing experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multi-site operations and strategic initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for History Colorado’s Division of Community Museums.
• Lead collaboration with seven Community Museums to develop and evaluate plans and priorities.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and philanthropy to support sustainability and growth.
• Supervise staff and manage relationships with funders and partners.
• Direct the Center for Colorado Women’s History and coordinate programs, exhibitions, and public education.
