Job Title: Deputy General Counsel, Litigation - REMOTE

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of attorneys and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Oversee all company litigation matters, including commercial, employment, anti-trust, and federal and state regulatory inquiries
  • Develop and implement litigation and risk management strategies that align with Prime’s business objectives, mitigate risk and protect the company’s brand and business
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on the most complex legal scenarios
  • Select, manage, and evaluate external legal counsel to ensure high-quality representation
  • Oversee Prime\'s Records and Information Management (RIM) program, eDiscovery platform, employment law and HR support functions
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • Juris Doctor degree and current state attorney\'s license
  • 15 years of relevant work experience, including 12 years of experience as an attorney and 5 years representing managed care companies, health care clients, or clients in highly regulated, complex industries
  • 10 years of leadership/people management experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of PBM regulatory frameworks and healthcare law, with demonstrated ability to proactively identify and address emerging legal risks
  • Provides strategic legal guidance to business leaders, translating complex legal requirements into actionable business strategies
  • Leads legal support for key business initiatives, including product development, strategic partnerships, and compliance programs
  • Collaborates with senior compliance, clinical, and operational leaders to align legal strategy with enterprise objectives
  • Oversees outside counsel on significant matters, including litigation, investigations, and regulatory inquiries
  • Contributes to the development of internal legal policies and training programs to enhance organizational legal literacy
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years across a wide variety of legal functions (corporate governance, dispute resolution, contract negotiation, employment law, audits/investigations, regulatory compliance)
  • 3 years of experience advising senior business leaders on legal strategy, risk mitigation, and regulatory interpretation
  • Demonstrated experience in federal healthcare laws and regulations such as HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act, with a focus on PBM and managed care operations
  • Experience engaging with regulatory bodies (e.g., CMS, OIG, state pharmacy boards) and contributing to internal or external policy initiatives

Potential pay for this position ranges from $217,000.00 - $369,000.00 based on experience and skills.
