Qualifications

• Must hold Mississippi Fire Academy certifications 1001-1002, 1041, and 1021.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Currently employed with the Hattiesburg Fire Department.
• Strong leadership and budgeting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Fire Department services and activities.
• Help establish staffing levels within city policy.
• Allocate resources and monitor service delivery methods.
• Prepare reports regarding departmental activities and budgets.
• Attend meetings, review logs and statistics, delegating work as needed.
• Supervise fire prevention and training divisions and related operations.
