Job summary

The IMF's Statistics Department Data Governance and Services (STADS) is seeking a Deputy Division Chief to guide data governance, data architecture, and the use of data science across the Fund. You will oversee the Big Data Center and advance nontraditional data sources to strengthen surveillance and policy analysis.

You will lead capacity development, liaise with partners, and drive high-impact data projects across multiple departments in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide technical and strategic leadership for the design and development of Fund datasets on IMF Data, working across departments to improve accessibility, usability, and dissemination.
• Oversee the IMF Data Governance Framework implementation, promoting coherent data management across the Fund with clear roles and data quality standards.
• Lead strategic direction for the IMF’s Big Data Center, coordinating innovative data projects across departments and the IMF membership.
• Manage the division’s capacity development program on data governance, data management, dissemination, and Big Data, including planning and delivery of technical assistance.
• Participate in international fora and partnerships promoting statistical innovation and responsible use of data science and AI.
• Lead missions, workshops and capacity development activities with country authorities and internal/external partners.
