Job summary

The Osborne Association is hiring a Deputy Director to lead the Workforce Development team in Brooklyn, NY. This senior role designs, implements, and oversees programs, ensuring contractual obligations are met and staff are supported and trained.

You will collaborate with internal departments, funders, and community partners to expand workforce opportunities and drive program impact. Salary ranges reflect NYC standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of progressively responsible program management experience; higher credential preferred.
  • Master’s degree in social work or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating processes that enhance program performance.
  • Knowledge of workforce development and supporting justice-involved individuals.
  • Experience managing both performance-based and cost-reimbursement contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and performance management to staff and ensure service delivery quality.
  • Lead coordination and oversight of Workforce Development programs with training and compliance.
  • Develop recruitment, outreach, and engagement strategies to maximize enrollment.
  • Monitor program data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare timely program reports and communicate status to leadership.
  • Coordinate credentialing and industry-recognized training programs.
  • Build relationships with funders, employers, and community partners.
  • Plan staff meetings, supervision sessions, and cross-functional planning.
  • Ensure seamless coordination with Fiscal, HR, Data & Evaluation, Compliance and Development.
  • Conduct monthly audits and quality assurance reviews and implement corrective actions.
