Job summary

The Wisconsin Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board (CANPB) is recruiting an Associate/Deputy Director in Madison, WI. The role handles sensitive policy work, operational support including procurement and budgeting, and advances initiatives under the Community Investment Plan.

Hybrid work up to 60% may be available; onboarding at 201 W. Washington Ave. Ste. 815 Madison on day one. The position reports to the Executive Director and requires entitlement to work in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures at an agency/organization level.
  • Experience serving in a leadership role (e.g., delegating work responsibilities, monitoring personnel workload, providing coaching, mentoring and training).
  • Experience working with data and/or manipulating data in Excel (charts, tables, pivot tables, trends).
  • Experience managing an operational budget and/or state/federal grant administration processes.
  • Experience working with contract life cycles and procurement and contract management activities.
  • Experience developing annual and biennial performance reports on grant deliverables to comply with statutory requirements.
  • Experience supervising and/or managing staff in a formal setting.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement complex policies on primary prevention strategies to prevent child abuse and neglect.
  • Provide operational support to the Prevention Board and Foundation, including procurement and fiscal procedures.
  • Advance policy and initiatives through the Prevention Board’s Community Investment Plan.
  • Advise the Executive Director and represent in meetings and events, acting on behalf of the Executive Director.
