Job summary

UJA-Federation of New York seeks a Deputy Director to oversee the Network Department. The role partners with the Managing Director to align strategy, portfolio planning, and budgeting across content areas.

You will supervise 2-3 professionals, lead research and evaluation initiatives, and drive cross-department collaboration, including government relations and facilities efforts. This is a hybrid NYC role with ongoing staff development responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree preferred; minimum of 10 years in a federation or similar organization.
• Experience supervising and managing staff.
• Strong research, planning, and communication skills.
• Strong relationship builder – with lay leaders, agency executives, and other constituents.
• Ability to learn new technology systems and juggle many projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and evaluation projects in collaboration with CPER, Data and Insights teams and others.
• Design and lead processes to document the Network Department’s portfolio and decision-making.
• Represent the department in internal and external meetings and conferences.
• Support staff development and create systems for efficient department management.
• Coordinate inter-department work groups and organizational planning and research efforts.
