Job summary

Lincolnwood Public Library District is seeking an experienced Deputy Director to lead a team of 30 staff and support operations, IT, facilities, and marketing. The role requires MLS and library management experience, with a strong emphasis on building/operations, administration, and IT.

The position offers a salary between $84,000 and $105,000 DOQ for a ~37.5-hour in-person workweek, with one evening per week and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• MLS in Library/Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Three years library management experience with public library customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in building/operations/facilities, administration, marketing, and IT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects to carry out the Library's strategic plan.
• Plan and assess staff training and safety drills.
• Oversee department managers and IT Coordinator; manage facilities vendor.
• Collect and analyze statistical data about library services.
• Assist with budget preparation.
• Collaborate on Management Team and act as Person-in-Charge.
