Job summary

Judicial Branch External Affairs Division seeks a Deputy Director II to manage media relations, coordinate responses across divisions, assist with events including high-profile trials, and supervise camera request processing. Oversees internal/external publications and collaborates on social media campaigns to enhance public trust.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of state and federal laws, statutes and regulations.
• Extensive management principles and techniques; supervise staff.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and organizational abilities; proficient with computers.
• Experience in policy development and program evaluation.
• Travel may be required in the course of daily work.

Responsibilities

• Directs programs and staff within the division; coordinates administrative activities.
• Represents the division on committees; develops policies and budget guidance.
• Reviews, develops and implements legislation and unit budgets; prepares reports.
• Supervises division staff; conducts performance evaluations; trains staff.
• Assists Director during absences and supports training initiatives.
