Job summary

Shine Early Learning invites a Deputy Director to lead an interdisciplinary team across family engagement and health services in Kentucky. You will drive data-informed program improvement, oversee staffing, enrollment, and partnerships to ensure high-quality Head Start outcomes.

You will guide professional development, collaborate with HR, and implement a two-generation approach to strengthen school readiness and family well-being across the program.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data to support program improvement and staff coaching.
• Coordinate hiring and onboarding for family service and health staff with HR.
• Develop enrollment systems and comprehensive recruitment plans for full enrollment.
• Ensure health screening and EPSDT-related services are completed on schedule.
• Maintain child files per Head Start guidelines and licensing.
• Plan professional development for family service and health staff using competency rubrics.
• Establish MOUs with community organizations to support referrals.
• Support Family Services & Health approach through coaching and supervision.
• Implement a research-based family engagement curriculum and four Life Practices.
