Reporting directly to the County Executive, this enterprise-level leader will oversee a portfolio spanning economic development and tourism, planning, transportation and capital construction, public works, and development services. The position sits at the intersection of some of the County’s most consequential priorities – including growth, economic competitiveness, mobility, infrastructure investment, resiliency, and long-term quality of life.
Located just over 20 miles from Washington, DC, Prince William County is Virginia's second-largest county, with approximately 508,000 residents and more than 10,000 businesses. The County is projected to reach approximately 520,000 residents by 2030. The Deputy County Executive will serve as a key member of the County’s executive leadership team and will lead at the intersection of economic development, growth, land use, transportation, infrastructure, and community resiliency.
The successful candidate will bring:
$265,000 – $275,000 annually
