Qualifications

• Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Background check including fingerprinting is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice, assistance and representation in civil matters to County officers and employees and County departments.
• Participate in litigation across a range of civil areas including civil rights, torts, personal injury, public entity liability, employment law, eminent domain and environmental/land use.
• Assist in general research, and support the Litigation Unit and Deputy County Counsel II–IV progression as defined by County policies.
