Job description

ACCIONA is a global company, leading in the development of regenerative infrastructure that creates a positive impact on society. Our workforce consists of more than 65,000 professionals, present in more than 40 countries across the five continents, all contributing in our mission to design a better planet. Are you a passionate individual who wants to make a difference, promote sustainable development, and find solutions to the biggest global challenges including climate change, overpopulation, and water scarcity? Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.

Acciona offers a competitive salary, relocation assistance where relocation is required and approved, 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, vision, life, short and long-term disability benefits, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and more.

The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and key bridge refurbishments. Construction is set to begin in late 2025, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.

The Deputy Construction Quality Manager ensures compliance with quality standards by overseeing inspections, testing, and reporting for construction projects. This role involves interfacing with subcontractors, utility managers, and stakeholders to validate inspection results, resolve deficiencies, and implement corrective actions. The manager coordinates QC resources, reviews construction methodologies for compliance, and maintains documentation within the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Additionally, they play a crucial role in material approval processes, off-site quality inspections, and constructability reviews. Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and decision-making skills—including Stop Work Authority—are essential to ensure construction integrity and project success.

Job Description

  • Track, report, and resolve deficiencies/non-conformance issues from identification to closure.

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Proactively engage production teams to prevent deficiencies and minimize rework.

  • Oversee the approval process for incoming materials, in‑process production, and finished products.

  • Conduct and supervise inspections and testing across various construction elements.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, audits, and corrective actions in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).

  • Ensure all construction work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality requirements.

  • Perform off-site quality inspections at supplier and manufacturer facilities.

  • Participate in corrective and preventive action analysis related to quality control.

  • Prepare monthly reports consolidating all quality-related data and records.

  • Assist in reviewing construction methodology to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.

  • Participate in Punch List Walk-Throughs and jointly add items to the Punch List.

  • Maintain and complete QC checklists for ongoing quality assurance efforts.

  • Stop Work Authority if quality standards are compromised.

  • Coordinate constructability reviews for design changes during construction with key project stakeholders.
