The Wage Deputy Clerk assignment supports operations in a fast-paced, high-volume office. Responsibilities include executing court instructions and preparing legal documents accurately and in compliance with state and local policies.
This is a wage position without benefits.
Duties include handling a wide range of complex clerical and financial tasks, including processing new civil filings, ringing up payments for filing fees, scanning all case documents, a large volume of accurate data entry, and alpha/numeric filing. Experienced with Microsoft applications, Windows 11, and Office 365 a plus. Must be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management. The most competitive candidates will possess: High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful applicants will have considerable court, business, or office-related experience. Excellent customer service skills and payment processing experience preferred. Experience working at a General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations in Virginia are a plus. Must be able to bend and lift to retrieve files.
