Job summary

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, extensive health IT leadership experience, and Epic EMR expertise; a master’s degree and an advanced clinical degree are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field required.
• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, informatics, or related field strongly preferred.
• Advanced clinical degree (MD/DO/NP/PA/PharmD) with informatics training is a differentiator.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion the clinical applications and informatics strategy aligned with MUSC’s mission.
• Lead governance structures and cross-functional decision-making for Epic and related systems.
• Oversee optimization, integration, and standardization of the Epic EMR across sites.
• Build relationships with clinicians statewide to align technology with frontline needs.
