Job summary

The City and County of Honolulu's Honolulu Board of Water Supply is seeking an Assistant Chief of Water System Operations (Assistant Program Administrator) in Honolulu. This role supports the Administrator in directing water distribution operations and guiding strategic projects to ensure reliable service.

Applicants should have four years of professional engineering experience, two years in management, and a Hawaii PE license with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Qualifications

• Four years of registered professional engineering experience.
• Two years in a managerial/administrative position.
• Valid Hawaii professional engineer license.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor the division's day-to-day operations.
• Oversee supervision of the division’s workforce and contracts.
• Coordinate emergency functions during water interruptions and complaints.
• Review and implement operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.
