The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of General Services seeks a Deputy Chief Procurement Officer to lead policy development, supplier engagement, and high-value procurements.

You will oversee the COSTARS and Complex procurement teams, drive compliance, and coordinate with senior leaders to align bureau goals across statewide programs. Telework may be allowed part-time; standard hours are 8:30–4:30, Monday through Friday, with on-site office options in Harrisburg.

Qualifications

• Six years of strategic procurement experience with four years in admin managerial capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of management experience.

Responsabilités

• Policy leadership: direct procurement policy development and improvement.
• Supplier engagement: guide outreach to improve supplier readiness and participation.
• Procurement oversight: oversee COSTARS team and high-value procurements.
• Compliance review: oversee audits, corrective actions, and QA processes.
• Strategic coordination: align policies, training, and procedures across the bureau.
• Team direction: guide managers and staff to deliver effective service.
