Job summary

MetroPlusHealth in New York is seeking a Deputy Chief Operating Officer to partner with the COO and lead cross-functional operations modernization and governance across provider networks, call center, enrollment, facilities, and vendor management. You will drive big program delivery, quality improvement, and customer experience initiatives.

You will manage matrix teams, align projects with strategy, oversee performance, and ensure contracts meet standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an appropriate discipline required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of management of healthcare experience within a health plan.
• Seven (7) years of demonstrated expertise in quality improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing matrixes / virtual teams to deliver services.
• Experience of leading and implementing strategy and business plans.
• P&L accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operational implementation for major strategic, clinical, and/or operational transformation initiatives.
• Assist with the management of the operational departments including Provider Network Operations, Call Center, Credentialing, Enrollment & Membership, Facilities, Vendor Management, Customer Success, and Claims.
• Maintain efficient daily operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies and procedures; developing workflows and productivity parameters.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, assess potential gains, and propose action plans.
• Oversee the delivery of patient experience and collaborate with product development to translate needs into roadmaps.
• Provide coverage for the COO in their absence to ensure consistent operations.
