Job summary

City of Farmington is seeking a Deputy Chief of Operations to lead the Fire Department’s emergency operations, personnel management, and resource deployment. Qualifications

• Requires an extensive background in fire service leadership and management.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise daily operations of fire suppression, rescue, EMS, hazmat and special operations.
• Mentor Battalion Chiefs and supervise recruitment, promotions, evaluations and discipline.
• Assist in developing short- and long-term operational goals and reports to the Fire Chief.
• Oversee training programs and ensure readiness of personnel and equipment.
• Represent the department in meetings, public events, and interagency relations.
