Job summary

Hamilton County Court is seeking a Full Time Bailiff in Cincinnati, OH to provide armed security and court order services. The role reports to a Deputy Bailiff Sergeant and offers 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM) with potential overtime as needed.

The position pays $24.01 per hour and is non-exempt under FLSA. Under general supervision, the Bailiff will help maintain safety, neutrality, and confidentiality across the court system and support the execution of court orders throughout

Responsibilities

• Provide armed Bailiff services to maintain safety, neutrality, integrity and confidentiality of the court system.
• Serve and execute court orders throughout Hamilton County (capiases, warrants, subpoenas, evictions, attachments, repossessions, executions).
• Maintain order in courtrooms and common areas; respond to life‑threatening situations and protect judges, court personnel, jurors, witnesses, defendants and the public.

LOCATION: 1000 Main Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202

WORK HOURS: 35 hours per week; M-F 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Overtime coverage as needed. May vary based on need

Under general supervision, this position provides armed Bailiff services for Hamilton County. Bailiffs maintain the safety, security, neutrality, integrity, and confidentiality of the court system, and serve and execute court orders. Bailiffs prevent potentially life‑threatening activities directed toward judges, court personnel, jurors, witnesses, defendants, prisoners and the general public; and maintain order in the courtrooms and common areas. Bailiffs execute and serve court orders throughout Hamilton County including capiases, warrants, subpoenas, evictions, attachments, repossessions, and executions.
