Location: Boise, Idaho. Boise offers a rich variety of cultural, recreational, and outdoor activities, including fly-fishing, skiing, kayaking, and hiking.

Primary Duties

The Central Office of the Energy and Natural Resources Division seeks an attorney to provide legal representation and counsel to the State of Idaho and its natural resource agencies, including but not limited to the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation, the Idaho Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, and the State Board of Land Commissioners. Practice areas include public lands, endangered species, NEPA, water rights adjudication, and advising agencies on contracting, rulemaking, and administrative matters. The role requires appearances before administrative bodies, state and federal courts, including the Idaho Supreme Court.

Minimum Qualifications

Admission to the Idaho State Bar and at least three years of relevant legal and technical experience are preferred. Strong academic qualifications are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to perform litigation and transactional work independently, are highly desirable.
