Qualifications

• Strong analytical and research skills to evaluate criminal cases and determine resolutions.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with DAGs, staff, and court personnel.
• Initiative and ability to learn and apply relevant laws and court rules; develop courtroom skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine which cases to prosecute, resolve via plea, or take to trial.
• Formulate plea offers on a case-by-case basis and try cases not resolved by plea.
• Handle a wide variety of criminal matters and negotiate with defense counsel.
