Job description

The executive will lead one of the Federal Government's largest financial management shared services organizations, delivering enterprise accounting, financial reporting, enterprise resource planning (ERP), and financial operations. The executive leads modernization of mission-critical financial systems, oversees hundreds of millions of dollars in operations, partners with agency CFOs and CIOs across government, and shapes the future of Federal financial management.

EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ECQs):

The ECQs describe the leadership skills needed to succeed in the SES and provide the focus for OPM certification of executive qualifications.

  • ECQ 4: Leading People - Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a group toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals, and to drive a high-performance, high-accountability culture. This includes, when necessary, the ability to lead people through change and to hold individuals accountable.
  • ECQ 5: Achieving Results - Demonstrated ability to achieve both individual and organizational results, and to align results to stated goals from superiors.

MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs):

  • MTQ 1 - Executive leadership of large-scale shared services or mission critical operations.
  • MTQ 2 - Financial management, accounting, financial reporting, financial systems, internal controls or related financial operations.
