Responsibilities

• Work with the Institute’s director to establish, promote, and grow the Latinx Mental Health and Social Justice Institute in support of the Latinx community.
• Participate in weekly meetings (1–2 hrs) with the supervisor and collaborative meetings with institute members as required (1–2 hrs).
• Manage social media and website content, including content search, creation, and Spanish translation when proficient.
• Assist with marketing efforts (5–10 hrs) and support and/or lead institute projects such as service, community engagement, collaborations, and other initiatives (5–15 hrs).
• Support the organization and execution of the annual symposium (5–15 hrs).

Qualifications

• Interest and understanding of the Latinx community and commitment to improving their well‑being and addressing related social justice issues.
• Organized, familiar with various social media outlets, and skilled in administrative tasks such as creating tables, graphs, PowerPoints, and Canva announcements.
• Proactive and capable of meeting institute goals with initiative.
• Preferred experience with event organization and Spanish language skills.
