Job summary

Bank First in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Research and Adjustment specialist to handle daily deposit operations, core system tasks, and customer service. The role requires attention to detail and a collaborative approach to ensure accurate processing.

You will reconcile wires, cash positions, and multiple financial systems, while supporting Tellers and Customer Service staff across Bank First locations. This is a hands-on position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business or accounting and banking experience preferred.
• A thorough knowledge of bank products and services.
• Proficient use of computers, spreadsheets and various database systems; strong Word and Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers (foreign and domestic).
• Reconcile and manage the bank's daily cash position.
• Reconcile CRS and FMS daily.
• Reconcile various GL accounts daily; research out of balance items.
• Process subpoenas and levies from government entities, court action, attorneys.
• Submit federal and state withholding.
• Process annual escheatment.
• Review and renew W-8 BEN for customers.
• Process foreign checks
• Process check adjustments and duplicate items & stop payments
• Team member of the Fraud Squad
• Submit check fraud cases
• Review and process overdraft decisions
• Responsible for the Charge off deposit account process
• Complete weekly administrative tasks for CDARS and ICS programs
• Provide support to Tellers and Customer Services Representatives at all Bank First locations
• Provide support to Deposit Operations co-workers in their absence
• Lockbox Processing
• Review closed deposit accounts
• Follow procedures and share knowledge with others
• Accept and provide assistance for special projects as needed
