Role Description

The Deposit Operations / Item Processing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Metairie, LA. This position is responsible for daily processing of deposits and items, including verifying, posting, and balancing transactions, and ensuring accurate handling of checks, ACH files, and other electronic items. The specialist monitors exception items, researches and resolves discrepancies, and supports branch staff with deposit-related inquiries. Additional responsibilities include maintaining compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, preparing reports, and assisting with system updates or operational projects. The role requires consistent attention to detail, timely completion of tasks, and collaboration with operations and branch teams to support smooth deposit and item processing workflows.
