Job summary

BankFirst Financial Services seeks a Deposit Compliance Officer I to support the Director of Compliance in developing and maintaining the bank’s enterprise-wide CMS, with a focus on deposit operations. You will review marketing materials, monitor regulatory requirements, and collaborate with Retail, Operations, Marketing, and IT to ensure ongoing compliance.

Ideal candidates possess deep knowledge of Reg E, Reg DD, Reg CC, Reg Privacy, and UDAAP; strong analytical and communication skills; and

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of deposit regulations (Reg E, CC, D, DD, Privacy, and UDAAP).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify operational risks in a retail environment.
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex regs into clear staff instructions.

Responsibilities

• CMS & Policy Support: Assist the Director in building and refining deposit-related components of the CMS and policy framework (Reg E, Reg DD, Reg CC, Privacy).
• Marketing Oversight: Review deposit-related advertisements and promotions for compliance with UDAAP and fairness standards.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Execute deposit monitoring, conduct transaction testing, and prepare summaries for the Compliance Committee.
• Compliant Process Assistance: Guide retail and operations in compliant workflows and respond to deposit/retail complaints.
• Training & Research: Develop deposit compliance training materials and stay updated on FDIC, CFPB, and Federal Reserve changes.
