Job description

Disaster Relief – Bristol, TN

Bring Help. Bring Hope. Be Ready to Go.

When disaster strikes, people need more than supplies – they need someone willing to step in, serve, and help communities begin to rebuild. Operation Blessing (OB) is looking for a Deployment Technician to join our Global Disaster Relief team. This is a hands‑on, mission‑focused role for someone who thrives in challenging environments, stays calm under pressure, and is ready to respond when the call comes. You’ll support disaster‑response operations in the field, lead and train volunteers, coordinate logistics, assist with cleanup and rebuilding efforts, and help ensure our teams and equipment are ready to deploy at a moment’s notice. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB’s Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ’s name to meet physical and spiritual needs.

  • Strong project management, logistics, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
  • The ability to remain calm, flexible, and effective when circumstances change quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to participate in media interviews
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, contractors, community members, and organizational leaders
