Job summary

Salesforce is seeking Deployment Strategists – Strategic Builders who act as customer-facing advisors to define AI strategy, shape agentic solutions, and drive adoption for enterprise customers. You will lead end-to-end engagements, coordinate delivery teams, and build real customer solutions using cutting-edge AI tools and platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in strategic solutioning, technical advisory, or delivery leadership for enterprise cloud or SaaS technology.
• Experience delivering customer-facing projects in Public Sector, Higher Education, or Nonprofit environments.
• Prior customer-facing delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or technical advisory).
• Understanding of Salesforce platform and ecosystem including Agentic AI capabilities and Data Cloud.
• Programming knowledge: Python, JavaScript, Java, or Apex.
• Ability to lead and own complex engagements end-to-end.
• Experience leading AI/LLM solution design including agentic AI strategy and responsible AI practices.
• Strong project and program management skills; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customer engagement across the full value lifecycle.
• Define customer AI strategy and roadmap; architect solutions spanning Salesforce’s Agentic AI platform, Data Cloud, and enterprise systems.
• Manage engagement delivery timelines, stakeholder communication, risk escalation, and reporting.
• Own adoption, consumption, and expansion metrics; identify blockers and drive value realization.
• Coordinate with Forward Deployed Engineers to align strategy with execution and hit milestones.
• Build customer solutions using AI tools (Cursor, Claude) and coding products (Vibes).
• Serve as primary customer-facing contact with Government/Nonprofit/Education customers; present proposals in business terms.
• Assess AI readiness and guide change management and process transformation.
• Synthesize field insights into product feedback for Salesforce Agentic AI roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Ownership: Lead end‑to‑end customer engagement across the complete value lifecycle – Identify, Commit, Deploy, Consume – owning outcomes at every stage.
• AI Strategy & Architecture: Define the customer’s Agentic AI strategy and roadmap; lead design workshops and architect solutions spanning Salesforce’s Agentic AI platform, Data Cloud, and enterprise systems.
• Deployment Oversight & Program Management: Manage engagement delivery end‑to‑end timelines, stakeholder communication, risk escalation, and progress reporting.
• Adoption & Consumption: Own adoption, consumption, and expansion metrics, identify blockers early, and develop strategies to drive measurable value realization.
• Delivery Team Coordination: Partner closely with Forward Deployed Engineers to align strategy with technical execution and keep the team focused and on track to hit delivery milestones.
• AI‑Supported Development: Build real customer solutions using leading‑edge AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, and coding products like Vibes.
• Customer Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary customer‑facing contact with Government, Nonprofit, and/or Education customers; build trust‑based relationships and present proposals in terms of business value.
• AI Readiness: Assess customer readiness for AI adoption and guide change management and process transformation.
• Product Feedback Loop: Synthesize field insights and translate them into actionable product feedback that influences Salesforce’s Agentic AI platform roadmap.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in strategic solutioning, technical advisory, or delivery leadership or program management for enterprise cloud or SaaS technology.
• Proven experience managing and delivering customer‑facing projects within Public Sector, Higher Education, or Nonprofit environments.
• Prior customer‑facing delivery experience (consulting, professional services, or technical advisory) – a requirement.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Salesforce platform and ecosystem, including Agentic AI capabilities and Data Cloud.
• Working knowledge of one or more programming languages: Python, JavaScript, Java, or Apex.
• Proven ability to lead and own complex, ambiguous engagements end‑to‑end.
• Experience leading AI/LLM solution design, including agentic AI strategy, conversation design, and responsible AI practices.
• Strong project and program management skills – ability to run multiple work‑streams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time to customer sites.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce platform, and Salesforce CRM.
• Experience designing and deploying AI solutions in regulated industries (e.g., public sector, financial services, healthcare).
• Salesforce platform certifications (e.g., Data Cloud Consultant, Agentforce Specialist, Application Architect) or similar certifications such as Microsoft or Oracle.
• Background in change management, organizational design, or enterprise transformation.
• Experience with AI/ML concepts beyond LLMs, including NLP, RAG architectures, and model evaluation frameworks.
• A get‑things‑done mindset with strong bias for action and comfort operating in unstructured, fast‑moving environments.

Compensation

The typical base salary range for this position is $134,750 – $287,910 annually. In California, New York, and select cities in Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range is $148,190 – $316,750 per year. The range represents base salary only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
