Job summary

Ikuto is seeking a Deployment Strategist / Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Agents & Automations) to lead enterprise deployments end-to-end from onboarding to go-live in the San Francisco area. You will partner directly with clients, map processes, and drive adoption using agentic AI tools and modern orchestration platforms.

You will own project strategy, manage timelines, and translate customer feedback into product improvements alongside the founding engineering team.

Deployment Strategist / Forward Deployed Engineer - (AI Agents & Automations)

Are you a technical problem-solver who loves working directly with enterprise clients, driving project strategy, and leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to build real-world automations?

We are partnering with a top-tier, venture-backed Enterprise AI Startup (backed by YC, Khosla Ventures, and other premier VCs) to find a high-ownership Forward Deployed Engineer.

This company is redefining workflow automation by building AI agents that replace clunky legacy RPA platforms for Fortune 500 insurers, healthcare leaders, and fintech enterprises.

The Role

This is not a back-bench engineering role. You will operate as the primary technical partner and project owner for key accounts, running deployments end-to-end without a middle manager or dedicated CSM standing between you and the customer.

What you’ll do:

• End-to-End Deployment: Lead enterprise clients through onboarding, workflow design, execution, and final go-live on your own.
• Build with Agentic AI: Use modern agentic coding tools, AI orchestration platforms, and prompt engineering to design and deploy complex customer workflows—faster than traditional coding from scratch.
• Customer & Project Strategy: Act as the single point of contact. Map out customer processes, manage timelines, drive account adoption, and identify expansion opportunities.
• Bridge Product & Customer: Translate edge-case customer feedback directly into core product improvements alongside the founding engineering team.

Who You Are

• 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Solutions Engineer, Implementation Architect, or Technical Founder).
• Project Owner: Capable of steering complex deployment projects, managing timelines, and handling high-stakes client communications independently.
• AI-Native Builder: Exceptionally fast at leveraging modern agentic coding tools (e.g., Cursor, AI workflow builders, prompt engineering) to solve technical puzzles.
• Thrive in High-Velocity Environments: You bring urgency, follow-through, and a desire to build in-person with an elite, fast-moving team in San Francisco.
