Job description

Overview

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Deployment Strategist based in the United States (Remote), with up to 25% travel. As a Deployment Strategist, you will take ownership of strategic technology partnerships, guiding each ecosystem from initial agreement through successful implementation and long-term growth. You will work closely with partner executives, product teams, engineers, and customer‑facing teams to turn signed partnerships into active customers and sustainable revenue opportunities. Your responsibilities will combine product strategy, solution architecture, implementation leadership, and partner enablement. You will design integration approaches, translate business needs into technical requirements, and ensure that partner teams can independently sell, deploy, and support the platform. Working in a fast‑paced, AI‑first technology environment, you will use automation and innovative tools to accelerate execution and improve operational efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to shape a newly established strategic role, build scalable partnership processes, and directly influence the growth of an expanding technology ecosystem.

Accountabilities
  • Partnership and Ecosystem Management:
    • Own up to three partner ecosystems from the initial partnership agreement through implementation, adoption, and steady‑state operations.
    • Engage in partnership discussions before agreements are finalized to define responsibilities for sales, implementation, technical development, and ongoing support.
    • Drive partner customer activations, ecosystem annual recurring revenue (ARR), and the percentage of implementations independently managed by partners.
    • Develop a clear understanding of each ecosystem's growth opportunities, operational challenges, and strategic priorities.
    • Regularly assess ecosystem performance and recommend whether to increase investment, maintain current efforts, or reconsider the partnership strategy.
  • Partner Enablement and Implementation:
    • Train partner sales, customer success, and implementation teams to effectively position, sell, launch, and support the platform.
    • Develop enablement materials, training resources, implementation guides, and repeatable launch playbooks.
    • Coordinate with Customer Engineering to ensure partner‑facing support teams receive the necessary training and certification.
    • Lead the initial customer launches within each ecosystem, identifying operational challenges and resolving implementation issues.
    • Transform lessons learned from early deployments into standardized processes that make subsequent launches faster and more efficient.
    • Gradually transfer implementation ownership to partner teams once they demonstrate the ability to operate independently, then transition ongoing ecosystem support to Customer Engineering.
  • Solution Architecture and Technical Integration:
    • Design end‑to‑end integration strategies in collaboration with internal and partner engineering teams.
    • Determine which technical components should be developed internally, by partners, or through a joint engineering approach.
    • Define integration architecture covering REST APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) interfaces, webhooks, authentication, data models, and cross‑system synchronization.
    • Review partner technical designs before implementation to identify potential performance, scalability, and integration risks.
    • Ensure that workflows, data exchanges, and product functionalities are appropriately distributed across connected systems.
  • Product Requirements and Development:
    • Translate partner requests and business needs into clear technical specifications, product requirements, and user stories.
    • Evaluate proposed features critically, distinguishing essential customer requirements from unnecessary customization.
    • Prioritize development initiatives according to customer impact, technical feasibility, and broader product strategy.
    • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure delivered solutions align with the platform's overall roadmap.
    • Test new features and integrations to validate functionality, quality, and alignment with defined requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring and Strategic Planning:
    • Maintain a documented strategic assessment of each ecosystem, including ideal customer profiles, adoption barriers, product positioning, integration gaps, implementation challenges, and pricing considerations.
    • Identify the primary constraints affecting growth and recommend practical strategies to accelerate adoption and revenue generation.
    • Use data, partner feedback, and customer insights to evaluate performance and guide strategic decisions.
    • Leverage AI tools to improve enablement content, requirements development, adoption analysis, prototyping, and operational execution.
    • Maintain strong relationships with partner executives and internal leadership while ensuring accountability for measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in partner solutions, solutions architecture, solutions engineering, product management, or software implementation leadership; alternatively, at least 2 years of experience as a startup founder or in a comparable entrepreneurial role.
  • Demonstrated experience growing technology partnerships, enabling third‑party sales channels, launching integration programs, or driving product adoption through external partner ecosystems.
  • Strong product‑oriented mindset, with the ability to evaluate business requests, identify underlying needs, define clear requirements, and prioritize solutions based on customer and business value.
  • Proven ability to design end‑to‑end technical integrations involving APIs, webhooks, authentication, data models, and system synchronization.
  • Experience collaborating directly with external engineering teams, explaining technical architecture, reviewing integration designs, and identifying potential technical risks before development begins.
  • Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into structured specifications, user stories, and actionable development plans.
  • A strong AI‑first approach, with practical experience using AI tools to accelerate enablement, documentation, prototyping, requirements gathering, adoption analysis, and workflow automation.
  • Demonstrated experience training and enabling external sales, implementation, or customer success teams, with a focus on helping them operate independently.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, product leaders, engineers, and operational teams.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem‑solving, prioritization, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of business outcomes, and adapt priorities in a fast‑moving startup environment.
  • Comfortable balancing high‑level strategic discussions with hands‑on implementation troubleshooting and technical collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in staffing technology, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), or related software ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with employment compliance processes and technologies, including I‑9 verification, E‑Verify, background checks, and employment tax documentation.
  • Previous experience in partner architecture, solutions consulting, integration management, or technology ecosystem development.
  • Strong ability to quickly understand unfamiliar industries, products, and technical environments.
  • A demonstrated interest in using emerging AI technologies to improve business operations and accelerate growth.
Additional Role Expectations
  • This position is designed for professionals who enjoy building and scaling partner ecosystems while taking direct responsibility for measurable outcomes.
  • It is not a traditional customer support or quota‑driven sales position.
  • The successful candidate will independently manage priorities, drive implementation success, and build scalable processes that allow partners to grow without ongoing hands‑on involvement.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: Attractive salary package based on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance‑based variable pay: Additional compensation tied to the growth and performance of the partner ecosystems under your responsibility.
  • Equity participation: Opportunity to receive equity in a fast‑growing startup.
  • Healthcare coverage: Medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Retirement benefits: Access to retirement savings benefits.
  • Remote work: Remote‑first working environment within the United States.
  • Flexible collaboration: Optional opportunities for in‑person team collaboration.
  • Travel opportunities: Up to 25% travel to support partner relationships and implementation activities.
  • Professional growth: Opportunities to develop expertise across product strategy, technical architecture, partnerships, and business development.
  • Leadership opportunities: Potential progression into leading a team of Deployment Strategists, owning broader ecosystem strategy, or transitioning into product leadership.
  • Strategic impact: Direct collaboration with founders, Product, Engineering, and partner executives.
  • Innovation: Opportunity to shape a newly established role and build the processes that support the company's future partnership growth.
