Research Innovations Incorporated is seeking a Deployment Strategist to bridge field operations and product teams. You will own the mission, map workflows from military SOPs to actionable briefs, and identify high-value AI-enabled opportunities for mission-enhancing software in sensitive environments.

You will coordinate with engineers, translate complex operational data, and mentor teams while presenting technical proposals to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated mastery of JTF Planning and Operations.
• Experience applying systems engineering processes to analyze and deliver operational requirements.
• Operational experience with C2, targeting, and fires systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site discovery and workflow mapping to translate SOPs/CONOPs into briefs.
• Identify high-value opportunities for Generative AI and foundation models to enhance mission effectiveness.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers to identify datasets and integrate into data pipelines.
• Design and validate architectures for classified, disconnected environments.
• Lead training and user adoption sessions across the joint footprint.
• Present demos, briefings, and proposals to audiences from analysts to executives.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align product development with operational requirements.

Position Title: Deployment Strategist

Location: Hybrid to Joint Base Lewis-McCord

Clearance Requirement: Top Secret with SCI Eligibility

We are seeking a high-impact Deployment Strategist to act as a bridge between the front lines of defense and our internal product teams. You will own the holistic mission of enabling our partners to win, identifying the true problems limiting their mission effectiveness, and decomposing these into actionable workflows. You are a facilitator, a technical translator, and a leader—responsible for turning institutional chaos into mission-enabling software products. This role requires an active US Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

• Lead on-site discovery and workflow mapping to translate military analyst/commander standard operating procedures (SOPs) and CONOPs into executable development briefs.
• Identify high-value opportunities for Generative AI, agentic workflows, and foundation models to enhance mission effectiveness, ensuring outputs remain grounded, explainable, and secure.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers to identify unit-specific datasets and coordinate their integration into stable, extensible data pipelines.
• Design and validate software and hardware architectures optimized for classified, disconnected, tactical, and resource-constrained environments.
• Lead high-impact training and user adoption sessions, ensuring RII capabilities are utilized to their full potential across the joint footprint.
• Present compelling demos, briefings, and technical proposals to audiences ranging from junior analysts to senior executive leaders.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to assess opportunities for product development and employment against operational requirements.

• Demonstrated mastery of Joint Task Force (JTF) Planning and Operations, and Army ASCC / Corps / DIV / BCT Planning and Operations.
• Proven application of systems engineering processes to analyze, document, and deliver operational requirements.
• Hands-on operational experience with C2, targeting, and fires systems, including Maven Smart Systems, NGC2, AFATDS, and Link 16.
• Ability to solve open-ended problems in unstructured environments with a low-ego, mission-first mindset.
• Proven track record as a mentor or technical educator, capable of translating complex operational/domain information cross-functional to engineering and product teams.

• Advanced AI and technical skills, including experience with agentic workflows, RAG, vector databases, and model orchestration in air-gapped environments.
• Prior military service as a senior NCO, Warrant Officer, or Commissioned Officer (especially in a technical leadership position at a DIV/BCT or higher level).
  • Prior experience with Maritime Targeting capabilities.
  • Familiarization with intel, COP, and targeting tools such as MIDB, CPCE, DCGS-A, and JADOCS, and TAK.
