Job summary

Base is seeking a Deployment Operations Associate in Austin to support day-to-day work behind utility partnerships, moving deployments from signed deal through Permission to Operate (PTO), and coordinating pipelines, scheduling, interconnection, and handoffs to keep installations moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in operations, project coordination, customer operations, or another high-volume execution-focused role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a large number of projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and a track record of maintaining accurate information across systems and workflows.
• Strong written communication and comfort communicating professionally with external stakeholders.
• Experience working in a CRM or other operational system of record; HubSpot experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow established processes while recognizing when something is off and needs to be escalated.
• Comfortable working across multiple teams and coordinating handoffs to keep work moving.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines without sacrificing speed or accuracy.
• Experience in energy, utilities, construction, field services, or another operationally complex environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily pipeline tasks across utility partner queues and monitor statuses to prevent delays.
• Maintain CRM records, update deal stages, and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare interconnection submissions and track approvals toward PTO.

About the Role

Base is looking for a highly organized and execution-focused Deployment Operations Associate to support the day-to-day operational work behind our utility partnerships. You’ll help move partner deployments from signed deal through Permission to Operate (PTO), executing the pipeline, scheduling, interconnection, and coordination tasks that keep installations moving.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, moves quickly, and enjoys managing a high volume of work without letting things fall through the cracks. You’ll work closely with Deployment Operations, Field Operations, and Partnerships to make sure partner projects stay on track and operational issues are surfaced quickly.

What You'll Do

• Support standing up new utility partnerships by executing daily pipeline tasks across utility partner queues, monitoring project statuses, following up on aging deals, and flagging anything that could delay installation or PTO

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records in our CRM, including updating deal stages, correcting data, making configuration changes, and ensuring required information is complete

• Support utility interconnection processes by preparing and tracking submissions, following up on outstanding approvals, and moving projects through to Permission to Operate (PTO)

• Coordinate installation and commissioning handoffs between Base teams and utility partners to help keep schedules and install quotas on track when required

• Communicate with utility representatives to request information, follow up on outstanding items, coordinate inspections, and resolve routine project-level issues

• Track partner requirements, documentation, approvals, and outstanding actions across a high volume of active deployments

• Identify projects that are stuck or outside of the standard process and escalated them to the appropriate team member for resolution

• Support recurring pipeline reporting by maintaining clean data and compiling updates on installations, commissioning, PTO, and outstanding blockers

• Spot recurring process issues or inefficiencies in day-to-day workflows and flag opportunities to improve how we operate

About the Team

The Deployment Operations team builds and runs the processes that turn utility partnerships into successful battery deployments. We work across utility partners, Field Operations, Deployments, and Partnerships to keep installations moving from signed deal through Permission to Operate (PTO). The team owns the operational details behind partner deployments — managing pipelines, coordinating handoffs, navigating interconnection processes, and resolving the blockers that can slow installations down. As Base expands into new markets and scales to thousands of deployments, our Associates are critical to executing these processes consistently and keeping every project moving quickly and accurately.
