Job summary

M9 Solutions is seeking a Deployment Network Specialist to support a government contract in Springfield, VA. The role requires hands-on deployment, on-site surveys, and active TS/SCI clearance.

You will work with network engineers to configure devices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security across multiple enclaves. This full-time position involves travel, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 7+ years of networking experience OR 12+ years in networking.
• Strong communication skills and experience with ticketing systems.
• DoD Manual 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification Certification for Intermediate level Network Operations Specialist DCWF Code 441.
• Ability to identify cable colors, markings, or labels.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and follow established processes.
• Deployment of network equipment with knowledge of network devices and configuration.
• Proficient with CLI for device configuration changes.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and WAN deployment/troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (IPSEC, BGP, MPLS, QoS).
• Experience with Juniper/HPE/JUNOS is a plus.

• Deployment of network equipment and technology, with working knowledge of network devices and configuration.
• Able to use device command line interfaces (CLI) and make configuration changes as needed.
• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud provider environments such as AWS and Azure, with IL-2 or higher experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of WAN technology and deployment, and troubleshooting different communication circuit types.
• Understanding of layer 1 technologies and their capabilities and limitations, including cable management, cable types, media converters, circuits to include CPE, Telco & Demark, etc.
• Experience in creating network diagrams, rack elevations, and cable drawings.
• Installation experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and Security and Encryption appliances.
• Understanding of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, MPLS, QoS).
• Juniper/HPE/JUNOS experience is a plus.
